Shittu Adedayo was born in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State on the 2nd of October, 1987, the seventh of his father’s eight children. His father, Pastor Shittu Adetunji is a retired Police officer and his mother, Mrs. Margaret Shittu, a retired Civil servant.
After his secondary education at Methodist High School, Arigbajo, Ewekoro Local Government, Shittu obtained a degree in Corporative Management at the National Open University (NOUN).
His penchant for knowledge and international exposure motivated him to enroll in The University of New York Global Food Service Institute where he
obtained a Master Certified Food Service Professional (MCFP) certificate.
He is a postgraduate student of Public Aministration at the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG), an offshoot decision premised on his quest to serve his community and Nigeria at large from a well-informed perspective.
His career in the corporate sector started with UACMDS Logistics as
Cooperative Manager before joining Smackers Limited (publicly known as, The
Place), Lagos, as Business Manager, a position he occupies till date.
Shittu’s journey into public service life started during his undergraduate
days in Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye where he was very active in
student unionism which led to him serving first as the Clerk of the House
of Senate, OOUSHS (Olabisi Onabanjo University, Students House of Senate)
and later as Deputy Senate President of the same body.
On the national front, he served as President of the Federation of Ijebu
Students Association of Nigeria (FISAN), OOU Chapter.
In May 2018, Shittu Adedayo announced his intention to serve as Honourable
of the Ogun State House of Assembly to represent Ijebu-Igbo Constituency 1,
in the 2019 General Elections on the platform of the Alliance for New
Nigeria (ANN) party, a party formed on the ideology of youth inclusiveness,
anti-corruption and economic growth for all.
Shittu is married to Omodayo Shittu and they are blessed with two children,
Adekorede and Oluwatimileyin.
